Free Workshops for Local Veterans

London based Theatre Companies Theatre Témoin and Grafted Cede Theatre are offering free theatre workshops to military veterans as part of their California Theatre Tour.

The workshop aims to create transparency and dialogue between veterans and theatre practitioners on the experience of homecoming in a fun and creative exchange of skills and ideas. Over the 4 weeks we will form an ensemble of veterans, professional theatre makers, and drama facilitators to create new theatre and respond to and re-envision pieces of the existing play. Participants are invited to all four workshops, and will work towards creating their own short pieces of devised theatre or theatrical storytelling.

All participants will receive complimentary tickets to “Nobody’s Home”, (which runs at WEST the first two weekends of November), and snacks are provided at each session. Veterans wishing to reserve a place in the workshops should e-mail workshops@theatretemoin.com - places will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
