Last Seat of the Symphony

Elaine, an older woman, has been going to the local music hall for her entire life. As the play begins, she learns that she is at the final performance, the hall is going to be torn down, and no one told her until it was too late. This leaves her daughter Maggie struggling to navigate the newly strained relationship with her mother, while also trying to reconnect with her ever-more-distant wife, Steph. “The Last Seat of the Symphony” is a play about the power that music has to bring people together. It is about love, loss, and finding connection through learning to listen to more than just words.
