Page To Stage 2017/2018

Page to Stage is a comprehensive arts education program where literature is brought to life in a meaningful way through in-depth study of narrative, dialogue, character, plot, circumstance, and social relevance. Each semester focuses on a different book and results in a staged performance of the story. Different than our other productions classes, writing, reading and acting homework is assigned to extend the learning opportunity. For this reason, it is recommended for advanced WEST students including those who have participated in our summer conservatories or those with a demonstrated commitment to the craft of acting and who enjoy experiential and project-based learning.

SEPTEMBER – JANUARY

Choose Your Own Adventure – On Stage!

RETURN TO THE CAVE OF TIME

Everyone has a story…what’s yours? Edward Packard’s brilliant concept of letting the reader guide the story, springing individualized adventures to life – on stage.  Page to Stage Players co-create an adaptation of one of Packard’s novels. As the play progresses, the audience will determine the course of actions and the Page to Stage players have the acting challenge of a lifetime– multiple plots and endings. Actors will be prepared to perform any combination decided by the audience.
