WEST Acting Conservatory – a collaboration with
Grades 8-12
Have you ever wanted to work with the actors, directors and core staff of a professional theatre company? This is your chance. WEST students work with Santa Cruz Shakespeare Core Artists and Guest Instructors in the study of theatre to a professional standard. A seven day course of study, the program is a mix of master led classes in text analysis, monologue, character, and scene study and stage combat as well as an opportunity to meet with SC Shakes actors and company members and an optional opportunity attend SC Shakespeare productions for the Summer 2019 season.
The Acting Conservatory is open to all students with a sincere desire to learn the craft of theatre to high standard of excellence. The nature of a conservatory is intensive—students are engaged in activity every moment of their scheduled time and outside class time is required. To achieve excellence, attendance and participation in all classes is mandatory. Please check your calendars carefully before committing to this class.
