About the Instructor: Iman Lizarazu is a World-class juggler and physical comedian. She’s a clown, but prefers the correct term-of-art “eccentric performer.” Studied at the Moscow Circus School, with Mr.Lui at the San Francisco School of circus arts, Marcel Marceau in Paris, Commedia dell’ Arte with Julie Goell and Avner the Eccentric in Maine. The list goes on. Growing up, she split her time between the Lizarazu family home in the Basque County of France, and under foot (literally) at the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow. Picked up a PhD in astrophysics. Lives, and designs and manufactures juggling props in Santa Cruz. Speaks, oh, about five languages. She sings and plays the violin often, and very badly. Regularly performs on stages in all over the world. She’s a featured player in choreographer Tandy Beal’s, “Mixed Nutz.” She also paints and teaches school kids to juggle. Classically trained, she’s a jester, a fool, and a performer in the best old-world tradition.
