The REAL Story Of The Nutcracker

Production workshops are original or adapted stories for the stage. They are enhanced by sets, lights, costumes and all the theatre magic we can create.

A NEW INTER-GENERATIONAL CLASS

WEST launches a new Inter-generational theatre opportunity with The REAL Story of the Nutcracker. Tchaikovsky wrote the music for the Nutcracker based on ETA Hoffmann’s tale, “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice”. In this class, Rivera Cook leads participants in reading this tale of greed and generosity, love and hate, beauty and ugliness and the deepest of human emotions. Students will listen to the music of Tchaikovsky and create their own version of the Nutcracker as a play with music and dance that tells the true story. Invite your family, friends, neighbors and everyone you know to come play in this new community for “Talls” as well as “Smalls”.
