Stories On Stage introduces students to the sequence of a play/story, vocal and physical control, and story creation incorporating music and movement. Students explore the vocabulary and fundamentals of theatre and performance. Each student is encouraged to express themselves with inspiration from popular children’s stories and authors. The theatrical experience is enhanced by the creation of scenery, costumes, props, masks, and more.
An exploration in play writing and acting…Young Artists awaken their creative spirits with classes in acting technique, play writing, voice, movement, and improvisation. Then we utilize those skills to write our very own scripts. Have you ever considered writing a play based on abstract art? A fortune cookie message? An ordinary object with extraordinary powers? Together we will produce a grand works of art, filled with our own unique ideas. Students may design masks, create fantasy make up, transform themselves into mythical creatures…the possibilities are limitless as everything will come from their imaginations.
