Fringe (frĭnj) n.
The outer limit or edge, or something considered to be on the outer edge

Fringe Theatre is the term used to describe alternative theatre, or entertainment not of the mainstream. On the Fringe is a new concept class designed for students with previous acting experience. Guided by WEST artists, students will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of interesting works as actor, director, writer, designer and devising ensemble. Similar to our conservatory style classes, students will immerse in a variety of theatre acting techniques. They will also choose from selected “fringe” plays and one-acts, generate new work, monologues, scenes, sketches, etc. This class culminates in a student produced “Fringe Festival” of their own.
