“Writes of Passage” Playwriting & Production
Led by local playwright and director, Stephanie Golino, the first few weeks of this class utilize improv, acting games and scene building to develop comedic pieces around the concept of a “first job interview”. Scenes will run the gamut—funny, serious, slapstick, dry, sarcastic, farcical and more. In the latter part of the class, students’ works will be shaped into a scripted theatre piece, which will be rehearsed and supported as a full production. This is an ideal class for students who love to create stories and experience the satisfaction of seeing their ideas come alive on stage. Please note a second day of class per week is added once the rehearsal process begins.
