WEST Performing Art’s latest production brings to life Stephanie Golino’s brilliant adaptation of the classic Pinocchio story.  Collodi, a reputed gambler, draws inspiration from the people around him; a creditor, a landlady, a beautiful fiancé, to create a fictional world of villains, whales and a beautiful Fairy. The production is filled with colorful characters, one very large mammal, and Italian music.

Honk: It’s The Ugly Duckling ~ A Mini-Musical

A mother duck’s eggs hatch, but the biggest egg takes longer than all the others do. When the egg finally hatches, Mother Duck is relieved to see that her newest son swims - he must not be a turkey - but as ducklings go, he is not very good looking. This simple story is a powerful lesson on teaching tolerance and self-esteem. Our week includes the Hans Christian Anderson tale and selected songs from the musical version of this story, Honk!

Lion King: African Safari ~ A Mini-Musical

Who can’t wait to be King? Or Queen?

Add your voice to the Circle of Life as we re-envision the story of Simba and his friends, create the atmosphere of the African Savannah through set painting, costume design, drumming, authentic cuisine.

Saturday ~ Goblet of Fire: Come join us as we unlock more mysteries of the wizard world, focusing on the themes, characters and magic of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. Play theatre games and activities supporting the story themes and dress up as your favorite characters from the book. Make and take home some of your favorite Goblet of Fire memorabilia. There are a few more magical surprises in store when you spend a day living the life of a young wizard. All craft materials are supplied. Please bring a lunch and water.

Sunday ~ Triwizard Tournament: Students will design their own wizard tournament experience in the morning then after lunch, the competition begins! There will be dragons, grindylows, mermaids, gillyweed, a menacing maze and the ever-present shadow of Voldemort. Champions compete for the honor and glory of winning the Tournament. All craft materials are supplied. Please bring a lunch and water.
