Create a story about your life – in 2 minutes!  Develop interesting characters and tell us their story in a personal monologue.  Or try preparing a monologue for an audition.  A monologue is the actor’s tool to tell an audience how a character feels or thinks about something – in this workshop we will try a explore storytelling through monologues and perform them for each other. STAGE MAKE UP: FAIRIES, PIXIES AND SPRITES – CLASS CLOSED

This is a quick one day tutorial on the basics of stage make-up and how to crate a fantasy based pixie or sprite character. We use all water-based make-up and learn tricks of the trade of professional make-up artists.  Once a few basics are explained, we will design our characters and learn how to make our vision come alive—on someone else’s face!  This class has a limit of 8 students.

Using every day objects as inspiration, learn to work collaboratively on a writing a fractured fairytale or an original story in a short amount of time.  Teams of actors will brainstorm ideas, cast, create and perform their unique work of art for each other.

      • These are trial classes, but not drop-in.
      • You must be pre-registered before each workshop to participate

THE LINSCOTT VAUDE-VILLAINS

    n. Stage entertainment offering a variety of short acts such as  slapstick turns, song-and-dance routines, and juggling performances. 
    n. A theatrical performance of this kind; a variety show. 
    n. A light comic play that often includes songs, pantomime, and dances.

    Original and Classical skits, monologues, one-act plays, songs, dances  — all of it. You-Want-It, We-Got-It.  Under the premise of producing a vaudeville show to dazzle the masses, our talented group of actors will explore their theatrical interests in Shakespeare, playwriting, clowning and more!  Learn lots of lines and test your memorization skills – or learn none at all and develop a pantomime.  Anything goes. This is an incredibly fun and fast-paced theatre class that develops personal confidence and foundational tools for performance AND will deliver a one-of-a-kind, larger-than-life THEATRE EXTRAVAGANZA!
