Bittersweet Chocolate

In Bittersweet Chocolate, we find Charlie Bucket decades after his adventures at Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Now an old man, Charlie faces a dilemma - finding a worthy successor to take over the iconic factory or closing its doors forever. As he navigates this decision, Charlie reflects on his past, the magic of the factory, and the impact it has had on his life and the lives of others. The play explores themes of legacy, difficult choices, and the enduring power of imagination. Will Charlie be able to find someone who can uphold Wonka's legacy, or is it time to say goodbye to a beloved piece of his past?.

This play idea was created and brainstormed by members of last year’s Project Wonderland cast. And like Project Wonderland, it will be performed using the entirety of the SC Art League campus as our stage (mobile play experience).
