Terri Steinmann
Terri’s passion is educational theatre and literacy. In 2007, she founded WEST Performing Arts Academy, the only literature-based theatre education organization specifically for youth on the Peninsula. She continues at WEST ‘s Executive/Artistic Director and splits her time between sharing her passion for language and drama with classroom students with her administrative and program development responsibilities. Under her guidance, WEST has grown to serve over 5,000 students annually in studio classes and residencies and thousands more in audience capacity. She is a Master Teaching Artist and adept at creating theatre curricula for K-12. She is particularly inspired to work with, students with learning differences and in non-traditional learning environments.
