Outrageous Fortune
Outrageous Fortune by Rebecca Salmonsen is a witty comedy that brings Shakespeare’s tragic characters together in a self-help group called Tragedians Anonymous. Led by Prospero, characters like Ophelia, Desdemona, King Lear, and the Macbeths confront their pasts and those who wronged them, with the meeting’s theme being “Identify those who wrong us and those whom we wrong.” Their Fatal Flaws come to life onstage, leading to chaotic confrontations and revenge plots that spiral out of control. Ultimately, the characters are forced to face difficult truths about fate, forgiveness, and their own follies.

His granddaughter, Alice, is an attractive and loving girl who is still embarrassed by her family’s idiosyncrasies. When Alice falls for her boss, Tony, a handsome scion of Wall Street, she fears that their two families – so unlike in manner, politics and finances – will never come together. But why be obsessed by money? After all, you can’t take it with you...
